JOANNA SZYMAŃSKA

Chair of the Foundation Council and Founder of Atelier Scenariuszowe Foundation. President and partner at Shipsboy. Producer and development executive, specialising in the development of film projects. She is a graduate of Berlinale Talent Campus (2011), EAVE Producers Workshop (2015), and the 30th edition of ACE Producers (2021). She has produced numerous short and feature-length fiction and documentary films, including international co-productions. For the film "Milk Brother" (directed by Vahram Mkhitaryan, produced by Wajda Studio), she received the Award for Best Producer of Short and Documentary Films at the 54th Krakow Film Festival.

She holds a degree in law and is actively involved in initiatives supporting the development of the Polish film industry. Between 2017 and 2020, she served on the Board of the Polish Film Institute. She currently serves as Vice Chair of the Board of the European Film Academy and is pursuing a doctoral research project at the Polish National Film School in Łódź.
