BIO

A graduate of directing from the Łódź Film School and journalism and political science from the University of Warsaw, she received a scholarship from the Minister of Culture. Her short film "Ukąszenie" won numerous awards at film festivals in Poland and abroad. Her latest film, "Naked Eye" (produced by Studio Munk), is currently on the festival circuit.

SYNOPSIS

After an accident, Maria loses her memory. Her husband and teenage son see this not as a tragedy but as an opportunity to rebuild their family life—on their own terms. Instead of helping their mother regain her identity, they begin to shape it according to their own desires. Initially obedient, Maria gradually begins to notice cracks in the reality created for her. She discovers secrets, half-truths, and manipulations, but also a truth about herself—a truth as disturbing as the actions of her loved ones. When she tries to break free from this imposed role and regain control of her life, her husband and son decide to imprison her. The psychological game escalates into a dramatic duel for identity, freedom, and the right to be herself.
