SYNOPSIS

Fourteen-year-old Jana falls in love with Zosia, an older girl from her swimming club. The girls are close, but Jana lacks the courage to confess her feelings. Things become complicated when she discovers that her brother, Yuri, plans to return to Ukraine and join the army. Jana has less than a month to convince him to change his mind. When all else fails, she exploits his weakness for Zosia. She persuades her to get closer to her brother, believing this will persuade him to stay in Poland. She, however, retreats into the background. However, when Zosia begins to have feelings for Yuri, Jana chooses herself for the first time and decides to fight for her feelings, risking the loss of her relationship with Yuri and his future in Poland.
