Screenwriter and playwright. Author of staged and award-winning dramas (including "Bambina's Body," "The Lake," and "Neutrality" – an adaptation of the novel). Graduate of Drama Directing (Drama Department) at the Academy of Dramatic Arts in Kraków, and Gender Studies and the Laboratory of New Theatre Practices at the SWPS University of Social Sciences and Humanities in Warsaw.

SYNOPSIS

Marta, a thirty-year-old bride-to-be, is considering breaking off her engagement. Raised solely by her father, with whom she maintains no contact, she feels ashamed that her fiancé's large family is financing the wedding. Confronting her father, Marta discovers that she has a grandfather in Italy. Determined to discover her roots, she embarks on a pre-wedding trip to Italy, and her father insists on accompanying her. Their journey is a metaphor for mourning, as Marta's father is dead, and his figure represents the heroine's inner conflict. There, instead of her grandfather, Marta meets the mysterious Sofia, who becomes a mirror for her. Thanks to Sofia, Marta forgives herself and her father, leaving his changed, muted self in Italy.
