SYNOPSIS

France, 1821. 44-year-old Father Michel arrives in the village of Ars with his new assistant, 20-year-old cleric Daniel. They are to investigate the local parish priest, Vianney, accused of fathering a young girl's child. The case is all the more bizarre because Vianney himself is considered a saint. As he investigates, Father Michel will have to unravel the mysteries of the village's inexplicable murders, leading him to uncover a conspiracy driven by the devil himself. He will also confront his own demon, who forced him to renounce his child 20 years ago. His son will turn out to be his new assistant, the cleric Daniel, who has decided to find and meet his father.
