Kas Zawadowicz

BIO

A graduate of the Torino Film Lab and the Wajda School of Directing, she also received a NYFA scholarship in New York. Kas's first film, "Airplane to Bus," screened at Cannes, Gdynia, the Rhode Island IFF, and Camerimage. Kas's other films include adaptations of Edgar Keret, JW Goethe, and Tom Robbins. Kas is interested in dark humor and the blending of genres.

SYNOPSIS

Motherly Anita (40), overambitious veterinarian Karolina (30), and aspiring skateboarder Gosia (16) are in the midst of sabotaging their lives when they are suddenly drawn into a timeless space – the Forest. It turns out that the source of all their misfortunes is the Witch. She must be killed to achieve success in the real world. The heroines embark on an interdimensional journey during which they discover the power to disregard other people's rules and the magic of creating their own.
