BIO

Director and screenwriter. A graduate of the Rehearsal Studio at the Wajda School, the Katowice Film School, and Psychology at the Jagiellonian University, she has made numerous short films, documentaries, and music videos. Her short film "Another End of the World" is beginning the festival circuit. She is currently working on her feature-length debut.
In cinema, she is interested in what lies between reality and dreams.

SYNOPSIS

Nastka, a musically gifted 14-year-old, wants to disappear. She almost succeeds when she falls under a garbage truck and ends up in a wheelchair. To regain her full mobility, she must undergo lengthy rehabilitation. Her mother is unsure how to help her daughter, whose world has just collapsed. The solution is a trip to her uncle, Stefan, who runs a family-run children's home in the mountains for teenagers who have been torn apart by life. Nastka must navigate a world where the wheelchair turns out to be just one of many problems. This unexpectedly gives her the strength to fight. Nastka's rehabilitation is progressing steadily, and she is taking her first steps. This is also influenced by the budding romance between her and Andrzej, a 15-year-old with Asperger's syndrome, for whom sound is everything.
Through music they find their first love.
