A crime drama about a woman who, while searching for the truth about the death of her only child, is suddenly forced to face the truth about herself as a mother. A fourteen-year-old girl commits suicide. Beata discovers that her daughter was likely raped earlier. Without support from the police, she begins her own investigation. However, the more she learns about her daughter's final days, the further she distances herself from her and discovers how many painful secrets her child held. The criminal investigation turns into a digging into family secrets. Beata's confrontation with her daughter's abuser leads her to try to answer the question: who is truly to blame for the child's death?
