BIO

She began her screenwriting career at the Łódź Film School, where she studied directing. She graduated with a degree in economics from Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń. She participated in screenwriting workshops led by David Howard. She received an honorable mention in the short film competition at the Script Fiesta 2018 festival.

SYNOPSIS

The year is 1916, and Zośka Stryjeńska returns to her hometown of Krakow from Munich, where she had been studying painting, disguised as her brother. Zocha is a consummate artist, willing to stop at nothing for the sake of her art. She quickly reveals her identity, decides to trust her intuition, and devote herself entirely to her art. She makes an oath, asking God to take everything from her, but in return grant her the opportunity for artistic expression and fame. This will be reflected in Zośka's story, as she wins the greatest awards in art, only to have her life shattered. The source of her personal drama is her marriage—Zośka loves her husband passionately and wants to create a home with him, but refuses to allow family life to limit her artistic development.
