Filip is 7 years old and obsessed with nature and folk mythology, but he also suffers from bouts of aggression. His mother, Lucyna, struggles to raise him. She fears Filip. She decides to send him to a treatment center and convinces her husband, Stefan, to do the same. A darkness descends upon the family. Filip flees the center into the forest, where he feels safer. There, he encounters a demon and befriends it. Lucyna and Stefan search for their lost son. They battle nature and each other. In the final battle, the demon rips out Lucyna's heart, but only so Filip can save her. Lucyna regains her heart and decides not to send her son to the center.
