SYNOPSIS

After years of estrangement from her parents, Clara Ritter (35) arrives at her father's funeral, pretending that, contrary to expectations, she has achieved success in life. Her arrival, however, does not provoke the expected reaction, as Clara finds Magda (35) at home, who has successfully assumed the role of daughter in her absence. It turns out that in this town, other people are also taking on roles that are now unfilled. This is the result of a crazy social pact intended to save the depopulating town from demolition. Clara begins sabotaging the ubiquitous game of appearances, primarily aimed at getting rid of Magda. However, she will learn that here, where appearances are key, she herself will first have to stop pretending to be someone she is not.
