SYNOPSIS

The film tells the story of a turning point in the life of sixteen-year-old Andrea, who must decide which path she wants to follow. Andrea founds the Flat Earth Society, and consequently, everyone turns against her. Instead of learning from her mistakes, Andrea Barnes rejects all rules and authority and decides to embark on a journey to Antarctica to prove that the Earth is flat. The film's central theme is emerging from childhood and coming of age. It's a story of determination, and the "edge of the Earth" is a metaphor for the place where all limitations placed on women end.
