BIO

A graduate of directing at the Warsaw Film School, she is a screenwriter for SNL Poland. She has created music videos and comedy shorts that have won accolades at festivals. Her screenwriting debut, "Why People Go Bald (…)," won the 2nd ScriptWars Award in 2018 and the Polish Film Institute Award in 2020. She specializes in comedy. Without it, it would be a tragedy.

SYNOPSIS

A comedy about a family crisis seen through the eyes of a child. Warsaw, mid-1990s. Eight-year-old Mania's world is turned upside down when the letter "W" falls on the anchor of a popular news program, and his place is unexpectedly taken by her balding father. Consequently, Mania's family doesn't go on vacation together, and her parents begin sleeping separately. Soon, Mania learns the meaning of the word "divorce" and will do everything to prevent it. All her attempts end in failure, and at her father and mother's side appear a Very Pretty Lady and Hairy Krzysztof. Mania won't be able to repair her parents' marriage on her own. She'll need a louse, an escape from home, and the help of her 10-year-old sister, Ania.
