SYNOPSIS
Spring, 1794. Twenty-four hours before the outbreak of the Kościuszko Uprising, the country is in uproar. However, young peasant Ignac doesn't care. He must reach Krakow with stolen documents that will grant him the coveted nobility. While fleeing the estate, he rescues a black man, Domingo (a historical figure), Kościuszko's adjutant. They arrive at a manor house where the chief is conducting final preparations for the uprising. He arrests the boy. But he quickly seeks his help. Russians and an envoy from the Targowica Confederation appear. During dinner, Ignac pretends to be a nobleman. Is he beginning to realize his 18th-century Polish dream? Will he join Kościuszko's gunslinger, who wants to bring justice to a small Polish town?
