SYNOPSIS
A scorching summer, 1980. Zosia (7), endowed with a vivid imagination and a strong character, grows up in a home full of love and art. She spends her summer days playing with her sister Wera (12) and Ernest (13), who has a crush on her. The idyll ends when the girls' mother dies. Zosia, unable to come to terms with the loss, escapes into a world of fantasy. Determined to maintain the illusion of her former life, she pushes away everyone who stands in her way, even her beloved sister, who plans to move to the city to start a new life. Zosia's alienation and desperate struggle would have ended in tragedy if not for Ernest. Despite her initial reluctance, Zosia finds a kindred spirit in the boy. She is ready to accept the new reality and seek a place for herself within it.
