Tomasz Śliwiński

Cezary (30), along with his girlfriend, moves into his deceased grandfather's apartment. Unfortunately, the elderly man's death and the son's move out cause Cezary's mother to have a serious nervous breakdown. Seeking to understand the causes of the tragedy, Cezary decides to confront his family's past. The investigation leads him to dark secrets and the unresolved misfortunes of previous generations. In the background looms a curse, supposedly placed on his ancestors in the 16th century for burning down a church. Cezary, who suffers from a rare disease, wonders if it's possible that it's the materialization of an anathema pronounced years ago. "The Curse" is a story about trying to free oneself from the trauma passed down through generations.
