SYNOPSIS
Ewa (40) wants to reunite her daughter (12) with her estranged father. He is an Israeli writer who, in his most famous novel, described Ewa as a mystic. She cannot forgive him for this. Inspired by the book, Marta imagines meeting her father as the end of the world – but she is not afraid of it, she longs for it. She boldly follows her imagination. It is for her that Ewa unlocks the realm of intuition. The end of the world turns out to be something much more literal than one might expect – it is the end of feelings. The end of a certain stage in life. The beginning of a new one. It begins in a village and ends on a barren mountain in the Czech Republic. The path to it leads through Jerusalem, where mother and daughter confront their past and disappointment. Only through this will they find a path to salvation.
