Applications for Short Lab are open until May 13th! This is the first short film competition organized by the Gdańsk Film Fund. The Atelier Scenariuszowe Foundation will provide winning projects with professional support in the form of script consultations.
Short Lab is a new element of the Gdańsk Film Fund's activities, which until now focused on supporting feature-length film productions. The competition responds to the growing needs of the film community, particularly creators working in the short form. This initiative is aimed at those for whom short filmmaking is a first professional step, a space for experimentation, or a conscious artistic choice.
The total funding pool for the competition is PLN 100,000. Projects will be eligible to apply for support in two categories: Micro (for productions with a budget of up to PLN 30,000) and Pro (For productions with a budget of up to PLN 300,000). The maximum length of submitted films is 30 minutes. To participate in the competition, the project must be connected to Gdańsk – through its subject matter, location, creative team, or spending within the city.
