Thirteen screenwriters, along with three participants of the script consultant module, took part in a week-long script development workshop session held at EC1 and the National Centre for Film Culture in Łódź.
The program for the Łódź session consisted of blocks of detailed work on the development of feature-length feature film scripts and individual project consultations. The workshops were conducted under the guidance of experienced script consultants and Atelier tutors – Aleksandra Świerk, Norah McGettigan, and Filip Kasperaszek. The second session involved learning methods for stimulating creativity and honing skills essential in the audiovisual industry. The expertise of the facilitators of this segment – Anna Bielak and Monika Łuczyk, experts at the Atelier, and Aleksandra Aleksander, a graduate of last year's script consultant course – proved invaluable.
The Screenplay Atelier, supported by CANAL+, is a year-long program for developing feature-length feature film scripts. The workshops are designed for both screenwriters and directors – graduates of art schools and screenwriting courses who possess the theoretical knowledge and practical skills to confidently develop screenplays. In addition to the sessions in Łódź, three more sessions will be held – in March, May, and July. During the final session, participants will present their projects to the Polish film industry as part of the mBank New Horizons International Film Festival.
