III in-person session of the Screenwriting Workshop and open panel at the Andrzej Wajda Film Culture Center in Warsaw

This year's group of participants will spend the coming week working on scripts for full-length feature films in a workshop space on Zegrze Lake near Warsaw. The program includes mock pitching sessions, literary workshops, and a meeting with representatives of the Documentary and Feature Film Studio. The session will also include an open panel discussion at the Andrzej Wajda Cultural Center. A conversation with the filmmakers Seasons This is not my movie Filip Kasperaszek will lead the discussion on creative teamwork and common challenges.

The program for the session near Warsaw traditionally includes individual and group literary projects in teams led by tutors Filip Kasperaszek, Aleksandra Świerk, and Norah McGettigan. As always, screenwriters will be supported by participants in the script consultant module. The program also includes pitching preparations, industry talks, a meeting with WFDiF representatives and experts, as well as relaxation sessions and yoga classes led by Atelier participants.

For the second time, participants of the module for script consultants, created by Anna Bielak, will conduct independent consultations – each of them will meet with an invited author of the project being developed.

This time, one of the sessions during the third session of the Atelier will be open to anyone interested in film writing and production. Details of the panel, led by Filip Kasperaszek, can be found below.

How to be creatively different?
Case study with filmmakers Seasons i This is not my movie

Every creator has their own taste, opinion, and intuition. Film, like no other art form, requires the collaboration of many creators and the combining of their talents. What makes teamwork truly work?

Using the examples of two teams responsible for two great films from last year, we will talk about what good, healthy, and creative collaboration looks like in a team where everyone contributes something but leaves the other person space to express their opinion.

It'll be about partnership. About what helps and what hinders filmmaking. It'll be about building trust. About how to listen to each other. How to discuss ideas and how to disagree respectfully. How to search together, how to find. And how to maintain the joy of creation along the way.
